We won our first volleyball game tonight!! It was exciting. I was very happy because we had worked very hard and really deserved it. I wish every part of life was as exciting as winning a game.

Way to go! It is a lot of fun when hard work pays off. I changed schools after the 9th grade and the year after I left the school I left won the state championship. I watched the game and was really happy for them but personally a little disappointed that I wasn't directly a part of it. The school I had moved to was pretty poor athletically but by the time I graduated, we finally beat my old school. It was a good feeling to have my friends from the old school congratulate me and my teammates. We had a good coach who made us work and it paid off. Winning's a good feeling for the short term, but the hard work is what pays off in the long.
